I am an entrepreneur, Agile Coach, and practitioner. I am a father and a husband who resides in Stafford, Virgnia U.S.A. I am a child of the Almighty God who believes that without holiness, no man shall see the Lord (Hebrews 12:14). I am also a servant of God as a Pastor with Holiness Revival Movement Worldwide.Â
Prior to entrepreneurship and being an Agile practitioner, I served for seven years in the U.S Army as a Signal Officer, rising to the rank of Captain before resigning from my Commission in 2011.Â
I hold a bachelor’s and master’s degree in electrical engineering, a graduate certificate in Wireless Communication, and a professional certificate in Agile and Scrum. I also hold PSM I, PSM II, PSPO I, and PSK I from Scrum.org, SAFe 6.0 ASM, and SAFe RTE from Scaledagile.com, and ICP-ACC and ICP-ATF from IcAgile.com
Realizing the need to bridge the gap of theory and practice, I reached out to a few development teams I had been in contact with during my years as an entrepreneur from 2010 to 2020 (more on that later). I partnered with them to offer internships to my Scrum Master trainees. Interns worked with real development teams working on real products.
After a few cohorts, I realized that the experience was not as immersive as I wanted – at least not for many of my students. To increase the quality and experience, I decided to set up my own team of developers.Â
Now students can get the full experience of being a Scrum Master on a development team with full access to the team and tools like Jira, Miro and Microsoft Teams, with continuous coaching and mentorship. Furthermore, because the application being developed is novel, the experience is a Startup / Cofounder experience which I am certain will make it easier for interns to land a job.
You need not lie on your resume or the interview to get a job.
You can get a job as a Scrum Master if they are willing to do the requisite learning with hands on internship.Â
I can coach and mentor you to become a good Scrum Master with my unique hands-on training and experience.
In 2010, amidst my service in the US Army, I had a vision—a Chat app that rewarded users for their conversations with points redeemable at various businesses. Fueled by ambition, I crafted a 60+ page business plan and rallied support, raising $30,000 from friends and family. I took the bold step of resigning my commission in 2011 to bring my idea to life.
Despite pouring over $150,000 into three versions of the app and spending 10 months in India working with developers, success eluded me. It wasn’t until 2015 that a friend asked if my development team had a Scrum Master. Intrigued, I delved into Scrum and Agile methodology, realizing that was the missing link. I took on the roles of Scrum Master and Product Owner, guiding the project with newfound clarity.
By May 2017, Hiipe, my creation, was unveiled on Google Play Store and Apple Store. Yet, lacking funds for promotion, the app remained a hidden gem. Undeterred, I continued working with the development team as their Scrum Master and Agile Coach, earning my Scrum Master certification along the way.
My unique journey, often perceived as a failure by many, became a defining chapter in my life. Recognizing the need for stability, I sought employment and skillfully wove my entrepreneurial and military experiences into a narrative that landed me a job after just one interview.
Today, I am committed to empowering others to embrace their distinctive stories. Through my journey, I’ve learned that each tale, when told authentically, has the power to leave a lasting impression and open doors to new opportunities.
I strongly recommend this training over others I've taken in the past. The instructor's in-depth knowledge of Scrum and Agile principles, combined with relatable analogies, made the sessions clear, engaging, and enjoyable. His extensive IT experience with Scrum teams across industries brought real-world insights and examples to the training. The tailored approach, incorporating small group discussions, exercises, and simulations, kept us engaged, and the ongoing support was invaluable. The practicum was a standout, providing practical skills for applying Scrum principles in real projects. In summary, the instructor is a highly skilled and passionate professional, making this training essential for anyone aspiring to learn about Scrum and Agile.
Boni Trainee & Scrum Master Intern (MD)The class provided invaluable guidance in understanding and applying the Scrum framework. The professor's approach involved linking concepts to real-life scenarios, helping me relate the framework to my past experiences in jobs and households. The class went beyond theory, focusing on building a resume to stand out in job applications and interviews. During the internship, I gained hands-on Scrum experience, including facilitating team building, consensus, and mentorship of a new team. The unique aspect was implementing Scrum principles in different psychological ways, resulting in tangible benefits like improved workflow in Jira. Overall, the program is a 360-degree experience that not only equips you to become a Scrum Master but also lays the foundation for applying Scrum principles to advance your career and venture into business and investments. It offers a new career path that emphasizes efficient business management without micro-management. Highly recommended. From Beja, MD

Navigate the world of scrum, become a scrum master
I am so happy to have taken the Scrum Master Class through you. At first, it was difficult for me to navigate through it .But slowly, I started to become familiar with scrum and the different words. When we started the internship, I fully understood what scrum was all about and the definition of done. Your teaching was good and well simplified for someone like me who has never taken a scrum master program. Help me to understand the differences between a project manager and developer, or scrum master, and the definition of done. Thank you for everything.
